Chris and Natasha decided to get married 12 days before celebrating 12 years together. They’re what you call high school sweethearts, and they’re both very, very sweet! After the ceremony, I got a chance to sit down with Chris and talk about his story. He explained to me in vivid detail the first time he called Natasha (during their sophomore year in highschool). He said he was so excited when she said yes to going to the movies, that he jumped in the air and hit his head on the ceiling of their loft. We love it when our bride and grooms take the time to reflect on their wedding day. It really adds to the story and the video… Chris and Natasha chose the beautiful and historic Longview Mansion to have their wedding.

Carrie and I had a blast at the Perfect Wedding Guide Valentine’s Day Wedding Show in Independence, MO. We got to spend a lot of time with so many wonderful couples and, of course, the awesome vendors! We were lucky enough to be across the from KC Photobooth, and that made our day. We literally spent half of our time in the photobooth! It’s soo much fun! Carrie and I are now going to figure out a way to budget it into OUR wedding. I just think being able to look at the smiling faces of all the people that were at your wedding is soo cool. Carrie and I would probably spend half the reception in the darn thing! Check out some of the photos we took below! You will see the wonderful Marco and Erin from Photos Edge, Alan & Angela from BerryGood Light & Sound. And, of course, don’t forget to check out KC Photobooth.
Micah and Tawny wanted to do a blindfolded meeting on their wedding day. The idea is you get to feel and talk to each other but you don’t ruin the surprise of seeing each other before the ceremony. They also exchanged very adorable cards. We will be sharing more about Micah and Tawny, when we post their highlight video.

Sean is the president of the Kansas City Kite Club, and a avid kiteboarder. Stephany is the anchor that keeps him on this earth. Sean and Stephany’s wedding was nothing short of the most unique and personal wedding we’ve ever seen . From the little kite cupcakes to the hundreds of kites and banners, this wedding had it all. From every wedding we film, we pick up little ideas here and there for our own wedding. Carrie and I walked away from this wedding wanting it ALL. Please take a moment to take in all the beauty that is the amazing kite wedding. My dad, BerryGood Light & Sound, was the MC for the night. Tent rental provided by BerryGood Tent Rental.

Here is Tom + Steph’s Highlight Video. We’ve already posted about Tom + Steph and their Same Day Edit here.
Carrie and I really appreciated Jon and Kate inviting us into their home for our consultation meetings. It allowed us to get to know them better and better understand what was important to them. When their wedding day finally came, we were really excited to capture it. Jon and Kate had a good friend sing and play guitar during their first dance. It was a beautiful song full of emotion and now I’ve got it stuck in my head. I hope you enjoy the video. I might have to share some of the preparation footage with you later, it was edited to Dreams by The Cranberries! Pure BLISS!

Before we say anything else, we need to thank Laura’s mom, Ellen. She did the most fabulous job planning the wedding and keeping the day running smoothly. We have never worked with a mom that has worked so hard to make her daughter’s day absolutely perfect! Now to Laura and Brett, who understand it well… friendship comes first! Looking at how Brett and Laura treated each other throughout the day, it was very apparent that they have something very special! The wedding preparations and ceremony took place at the Richmond United Methodist Church. There was plenty of room for all 16 bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready. The guys even had a big screen TV in their room to watch the game. The reception took place at Harrah’s, and entertainment was provided by Elite Sounds DJ (who totally rocked by the way). This is our latest Same Day Edit (SDE) and we’re extremely proud of it. All credit goes to our amazing couple, of course. Check out Brett + Laura’s Same Day Edit along with their reaction to the video!

Thomas and Stephanie threw a party that no one will ever forget. We can’t think of any better way to celebrate such a big moment in their life. You will just have to wait for the highlight video, in order to get a sneak peak of the reception. During the reception, Carrie and I showed our Same Day Edit on our new 8′ wide projection screen. It was very rewarding for us to watch as groups of people gathered around the screen to watch… We spent the better part of the day working with Aaron and Heather of Hawes photography and design. We really enjoyed their energy and candid style.

Dan and Lynn are madly in love, and everyone knows it! You can see it in the way they look at each other… and in the way they laugh at each other (and they laughed a lot!)!!! It was such a wonderful experience to watch Dan and Lynn go through one of the most important days of their life together. We had the pleasure of working with S & J Photography. I knew from their team player mindset, candid style, and beautiful selection of lenses, they would create some amazing images. Check out their blog for the pictures!. Our MC for the night was none other than my uncle, Travis Berry. Great job uncle! haha
I knew that Ryan and Nicole would have a very special wedding. Ryan had the coolest bunch of groomsmen. One of them forgot his pants in his dad’s car so for much of the prep he was in a full suit except for the pants! hahaha! Both Ryan and Nicole’s dads took turns telling construction stories while the groomsmen waited for the ceremony to start. At the reception everyone ate wonderful Italian food and the partying began! Even grandma got out on the dance floor! It didn’t make the highlight video cut though
Chris and Sarah’s wedding was a long time coming… And now that I’ve witnessed it, I can tell you it was a fairytale wedding! Sarah was the homecoming queen and Chris was the football caption. Their wedding was complete with photography by Mike Freeland and DJ service by my dad, Alan Berry. Now Sarah has just completed her doctor’s degree and Chris is a highschool football coach. It was obvious throughout the day that they were crazy about god, each other, and their work. It really doesn’t get any better than that!
Isaac & Mallory are the perfect couple. They have been dating for 7 years and they are still madly in love with each other. Now, they have made the big step into married life and a new house together! (I’m totally jealous!) Isaac is a big Led Zeppelin fan so he chose “Thank You” for their trailer. It was a tough song to edit to, but it turned out great.
Way back in April, we shot a wedding with the wonderful photographer Taisia Gordon. She contacted us a few months ago about doing a “Family Video”. We loved the idea, and this is the result.

Evelyn was a bride’s maid in Amanda’s wedding, whose video we did last fall. Aaron + Evelyn booked us last minute, but we’re so glad they did! Their wedding was absolutely amazing! Everything down to the smallest detail was perfect!
We spent the entire day with Carmen of Firefly Image and she was so awesome to work with. We HIGHLY suggest her!

After the wedding party had their big entrance, we showed Julie & JJ’s Love Story we had produced for them (for the very first time). It was hard to keep the Love Story short (15 minutes) because both Julie & JJ’s said so many wonderful things about each other!
When the Love Story was over, we planned on showing the Same Day Edit (SDE). As you can imagine, showing the Same Day Edit at the beginning of the reception put a lot of pressure on us. We were able to show the Same Day Edit on time, even though we had very little time to work on it. For our first SDE I’m very happy. And more importantly everyone at the reception loved it!
We spent the entire day with Taisia Gordon of Taisia Gordon Photography and we really enjoyed our selves! Her engagement shots that we used in the Love Story are stunning!
